Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ,
We commit ourselves:

To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide,
to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that
strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

They shall meet regularly for fellowship, inspiration, information advocacy and to conduct business. The circles are small groups within the Presbyterian Women that gather regularly to provide an inclusive caring community of women.

Bezetha Circle

Cathy Rubush, moderator

Meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm in members' homes

Agape Circle

Shirley Moran, moderator

Sewing Circle

This circle meets every Tuesday from 9:00am to 12:00 noon in John Craig Hall at the church. The members pursue a special mission sewing quilts and creating baby blankets to give to church members, community members, Shenandoah Social Services and the Church World Service – to anyone identified as needing comfort, security and love.  Members do not need to know how to sew! If you can tie a square knot, iron or sort fabrics we can use your help. Creations of the sewing circle are displayed in the John Craig Fellowship Hall and are especially displayed in the sanctuary each year on "Blanket Sunday".
