Who We Are Mission StatementAugusta Stone Church is a body of Christ with a rich heritage who seeks to serve our Lord, our community and the world. Our vision for the future includes the empowerment of our youth, fostering fellowship, increasing stewardship, outreach and missions.Vision StatementWe seek to serve all through the love of Jesus Christ.AffiliationAugusta Stone Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Locally we are members of Shenandoah Presbytery, a Presbytery of the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic.MembershipApproximately 240 members are on the active roll.Congregational Governing BodyIn the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Session is the decision-making body of the local congregation. At Augusta Stone, Session members—called “Elders”—are elected for three-year terms. We have fifteen active elders serving on the Session. Five elders are elected by the congregation each year and ordained, and at the same time five elders who have served a three-year term rotate off the Session and become Inactive Elders.The Session of Augusta Stone meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of John Craig Hall.
